• Put the loaded mold into hot water (90–100 °C) for 2–3 seconds.
• Quickly rinse twice in room-temperature water (1–25 °C; the colder the better) to cool it. This prevents residual heat from over-shrinking the foam, and the double rinse helps set the shape.
• Use chopsticks, a pen tube, or similar to push the dart out. If it’s smooth overall and the tail width hasn’t deformed, you’ve succeeded. If the tail has gotten smaller, shorten the hot-water time.
